i only blog when something exciting or tragic happened, or when i am feeling emotional. so lets try to blog when i DON'T feel like blogging. future psychologists mar...must always feel inquisitive, questioning all kind of human thoughts, feelings and actions, and seeking ways to measure factors affect them
last night i went to collect some Prinsip Akaun book from my neighbor, Jeff, to lend my bro. he's form 4 this year, and he's in an independent school. so his syllabus is focused mainly on UEC, which is Taiwanese' equivalent of our STPM, but all done within a year instead of two. so SPM is clearly 2nd priority that they dont teach most of the electives he signed up for. besides the 7 core subjects (BM, Eng, Math, History, Science, Moral, what's one more?) he signed up for EST, Prinsip Akaun and Add Math. aint he a genius...he took up Add Math when he was not taught a single class in school (cos he's in Arts stream). bravo bravo. neither was he taught EST. he learnt Accounting Principles in ENGLISH for according to his UEC syllabus. i salute him for being so adventurous, but i also wonder how he's gonna catch up those foreign subjects...
anyway, the main point is not bout my bro, but bout what i talked with Jeff. he's studying mass comm in UiTM, Malacca, so he was telling me how fun campus life is (as if i aint envious enough). but one thing he mentioned caught my attention. he said that homosexuals were everywhere and not bothered to hide their sexual orientation, and he really could not stand homosexuals. most probably religion played a huge role, cos i believe Islam, like Christianity, preached heavily against homosexuality.
that made me ponder on my own later on...and i see how psychology does not click with religion. to study psychology is to understand how and why ppl do what they do. then after learning, obviously u would wanna apply your knowledge to upgrade ppl's lives, so psychologists are upposed to understand each person objectively without any bias or prejudice. but how do u accept ppl as they are if inside u u've already held a very strong position over a controversial issue? so that means this course is very suitable for someone without strong opinions like ME!!! wakakaka!!!
tmr Dear and i will be participating in the Terry Fox Run in Taman Tasik Perdana. i invited my college mates to join along, but some rather joined this Treasure Hunt organized by HELP U.C. as jon sern said, he would rather pay for something which might win him some cash prize, rather than pay to run and not win anything. of cos, its only human nature to prefer investing money on something which will promise something beneficial. for survival purposes bah. no wonder its so hard to balance out the wealth between the super rich and super poor. no wonder businesses make money so much faster than charity organizations.
someone once told me that ppl who joined 30-hour Famine were not genuinely there to help the children, but to get near artists and to have fun in group activities. well, of cos it would be best if ppl genuinely participate in fund raising events purely to offer help to needy children, but as mentioned, ppl will rather spend money on something that promised returns, so how can charitable organizations not include some business-like elements to attract ppl to donate?
aiks, anyway, no mood to blog ady lu! keke. feel so silly rambling around. i finally understand abit more bout what's the meaning of being a popular blogger (e.g. Kenny Sia and Xia Xue). Dear explained that these ppl have tens of thousands of hits in a day. so what do they talk about? i also can get tens of thousands of hits in a day if i advertise my blog what! *teehee* Dear said they talk about anything la...controversial issues, promoting stuffs, etc. so i tot of trying out how it'll feel to be a "popular blogger" too. lolz. but naw, i would rather not have the whole world reading what i have to say. after that little mistake natalie made...*ahemjoelahem*...smaller audience is definitely better.... *bluek to Nat*
okie dokez peeepurl...wanna do some reading cos tmr is dating day!!!
p/s: come to think of it, i definitely aint hinting to any specific ppl about the religion thingy...
pp/s: i cannot stand guys who cannot commit themselves in a relationship...
