Of Clubbing and Badminton

What do you think of when you hear the word "clubbing"?

In my opinion, there can be 3 categories of thoughts:

Firstly, your initial response would be disgust, horror, and all those negative impression. for u to consider going clubbing is like getting this "I'm wild, I'm naughty, I'm slutty" label stamped on your forehead. you really are afraid that others will think of you negatively should people ever finds out that you go clubbing. even ONCE. of cos, the older generation holds a stronger disdain for clubbing activities compared to our generation, but still...

Secondly, your response may be of excitement, thrill, and even pride, because you consider girls who go clubbing as one who are not afraid to express themselves, one who reflects freedom and adventurousness, and mostly a girl who knows and likes to have fun. to simplify, it basically a "I'M COOL" label stuck on forehead instead.

The last group of people hold a view which is less extreme, one which considers clubbing as nothing negative, but also would not go all out to advertise the fact that they go clubbing. they consider clubbing as an activity to destress and unwind once in awhile, a good way to have fun with friends besides the usual yamcha-eat-talk outtings. they are aware that there are people who go clubbing for sex-drugs-alcohol reasons, but there are also people who wants to have fun with their own little gang.

im not saying this to criticize anybody. just something that crossed my half-asleep head as i drove my brother to school at 6.30am this morning. and why this particular thought crosses my mind? because i'll be going clubbing tonight. from my posts, obviously i do not club often. ok, "not often" is an understatement. how often is "once a year"? kekeke. girls who consider clubbing as cool will be thinking im such a goodie girl with no life, no sense of fun. girls who consider clubbing as a slut's activity will consider me on the edge of rebellion, cos once a year may lead to once a week.

what's my opinion? if i can think of a balanced viewpoint, of cos thats my stand right? lol. i just wanna hang out with my old school friends and let loose for a night. so....im so excited for tonight!!!

oh yeah, yesterday  there was B. Psych Badminton Tournament in Taman Megah Badminton Court. Nat, Dan, Alex and I took part, just for fun. we've been having occasional badminton games since last semester, so we should have sufficient skills to not miss all the shots. ngekngek. so four of us took part in single and double match. i lost in single match...didn't lose too badly ok. Nat and I paired up for Doubles, and we won silver!

when Dear heard that i got a Silver medal, this was how he described me: a relatively small fish (around 5cm) among other smaller fishes. in other words, im a lousy player among other lousier players *dot dot dot* =.=

Darling just said im the BEST AMONG THE WORSTS!!!

oh shoot, that also means he's insulting all the other female players yesterday! hor....Dear....u know quite a few of them....u are so dead!!! *bluek*

ok la, i know he's kidding. hor Dear? hor hor hor???
