*sniff*
Yeah, damn disgusto title up there, but that’s what happened
I went to Penang for family vacation with Mom, Grandma, Ervin (lil bro), Adrian (big bro) and Carrie (big bro’s gf). Had a good time pigging out, from Lorong Selamat’s char koay teow and ais kacang to New Lane’s Oh Jian, char koay kak, pork porridge, assam laksa, prawn mee, popiah…it was one helluva rojak inside our stomachs, we didn’t need to order anymore Penang Rojak to add on to the mix =.=
On our 2nd day, Jon Sern came to our hotel to bring us for dim sum breakfast! Brought us to Restaurant Zim Sum, opposite Penang’s KDU. It was really cheap! Less than RM10 per person, with all those egg tarts, chee cheong fun, char siew pau, lor mai kai, siew mai, fish ball, radish cake, wu kok, har gao, etc.
Mom and I drove back to KL while bros stayed on in Penang. After lunch in Penang, we dropped grandma off in Taiping, then we headed home. It took us almost 6 hours just to get from Taiping to KL, which on ordinary days it takes an average of 3.5 hours. If dad drives we take less than 3 hrs. But of course, Sunday was no ordinary day, cos everyone was rushing back to work *sigh*
I didn’t eat much for dinner, but super greedy me went and eat nutmeg before i sleep. The next morning, at 6.30am, before my alarm rang my stomach jolted me out of bed into the bathroom. I so SO needed to vomit, but…couldn’t…you know how that feels?
So back into bed for another hour, and this time, the series of vomiting began. All i could taste was…NUTMEG. All i could feel throughout my digestive track was…the SPICYNESS of nutmeg. i swear, i am beginning to develop a slight phobia for nutmeg. My next 3 vomits all tasted like NUTMEG…
I don’t want to touch anymore nutmeg for at least half a year. All those preserved nutmeg fruit, bottled nutmeg juice, and nutmeg flavored Tambun biscuit can sit and rot for all i care… T.T
