yesterday was my 6th Month Anniversary with my love...i really couldnt believe we would end up as a couple 6 months ago. i would never ever think i would love Eu Veng the way im so in love with him now, 6 months ago. and i would never dare to think he would love me this much, 6 months ago. well peeps, this is just the beginning of your goosebumps popping session...
Darling came over since morning, and i had a surprise celebration planned out!!! we fried pancake together!!! ^o^ initially i thought of preparing breakfast before he comes, but then i found out that he finds cooking enjoyable...so we had a blast in the kitchen together!!!
wow...im glad my parents didnt install smoke detector or cctv, cos the entire house looked like it was on fire!!! well, partly my fault for not on-ning the ventilator, but mostly because we didnt know how to control the fire. before we started using the stove, everything was going very well, measuring water and beating eggs. i made pancake once...long long time ago...and that time i had to add full cream milk, eggs, etc. this time, it says just add water, nothing else. but i've been doing some homework...got advice from Nat and Mel, even had Mel helping me shop for raw ingredients. so Dear and I modified our recipe based on advices from professionals and instructions on the box, and we end up with pancakes that look like fried chicken... =.=" it wasnt round (some were love shape... ^_^) and it wasnt golden brown either.
it taste ok though...poured lots and lots of honey...and ate it while finishing up my High School Musical. yes Nat, i've FINALLY finished watching! kekeke...after soooo looooonnnnng!!!! and ppl, one good thing about buying original DVD is...step by step dance lesson!!! we were going through everything on the DVD Menu...behind the scenes, sing along with crew, and step by step dance guide by Sharpay and Ryan. darn, if my Sikh neighbor was peeping thru my aquarium, he would see us clowning around a.k.a. dancing *blush*
after musicale, we went IKEA. darling wants my professional advice in furnishing his new room *proud beam* and in the end, not only Darling have a brighter, more colorful room, im gonna redecorate my room too! im waiting for my DIY-er Darling to help me fix some things...i'll post up pics of my new room soon! *bouncing happily*
we watched "Pursuit of Happiness" after IKEA...bought the Lover's Seat...so so comfy!!! *sigh* wont tell u what happened! *secretive smlie...nyehehe...*

after movie, i wanted to shop for a new purse, but Darling kept rushing me for dinner. we had popcorn n guava in the cinema, im not hungry!!! im super full!!! *put on whining voice* why wanna eat so early at 7pm? cant we shop first? i want my purse..i want! i want!!! but ok...if Darling has digested his food within half an hour, fine, i can wait. so we walked around the Boulevard. Darling say he doesnt know what he wanna eat...so we shall just pick the restaurant with my favourite color furnishing. i was laughing away at his Selamba method of picking restaurant...but no problemo!!! im all in for spontaniety and adventure! the only orange color restaurant was Thai Express...and as soon as we were nearing it, Darling started grabbing my hand and ran into it...
he was saying...."sorry i didnt plan anything special for today..."
i interupted, saying "its ok dear..i had a great time..."
but he interupted me again "...but who said i didnt plan anything special for tonight?"
...and...
O-M-G~! i saw Hua Fu's and Raymond's face peeping from behind a menu! then i looked at the rest of the people on that table (who had been hiding their faces behind the menu...) and realised that Mel, Jon Sern, Nat, Dan, and Kel were there too!!! omg omg OMG!!! they were there to surprise me!
i could just stood there, mouth gaping wide *disbelieving look* after the surprise stage, i was overwhelmed by this warmth feeling...so warm my eyes began to feel warm n teary. oh gosh...Darling planned a surprise birthday party for me since Monday, and all of them were having a good time hiding this from me the entire week!
Kel and Nat even went to Curve on Wednesday night to survey for a suitable restaurant. they decided on Thai Express because i like hot & sour food. needless to say, i had Tom Yam that night! ^o^ we ordered, we ate, then we were chatting over drinks, when suddenly...the waiter brought over a litted cake!

oh wow...another surprise! these bunch of people (lead by Daniel) embarrassed me (and themselves) by singing very loudly 4 times "Happy Birthday" Version 1: English. Version 2: Malay. Version 3: Mandarin. Version 4: Super Slooooowwww English. oh man...thank god i sat facing the wall instead of the crowd...(but honestly, i felt so touched inside i feel more pride than embarrassment ^_^ ) i could sense that every other customers and waiters were looking at me with envy...nyehehe!!!
i could finally cut my cake. Jon Sern wanted to push the candle deep inside and make me dig it out, but Darling said no. hmmm...since when was he so unadventurous? well...this is why...

Darling got me a Bear-in-a-Box pop-out box, and a very very useful Touch 'n' Go card. he knew i lost mine few months ago...sigh...Dear, u're just so thoughtful, so romantic...
there were still quite a big chunk of cake left, even after everyone had 2nd helpings, so the Wannabe Gay Couple suggested a way on finishing them...
and they were so smart...they made the 2 pairs of couple to play the game, and obviously, finish the cake... Dear and i lost...but we finished the cake happily. i wont wanna waste any bit of that cake. it was Darling's and everybody's little thoughtfulness..no way im gonna let it enter the rubbish bin
and what kinda birthday celebration ends without someone getting smeared with cream? =P
i really had an amazing day. so thankful to my friends who took the effort to surprise me. i appreciate every little thoughtfulness guys...your effort to keep in a secret from me, your petrol to drive to Curve, your time and money spent, and your very presence during dinner. i'll forever be grateful, and i'll always remember this eventful night guys.
im even more thankful to Darling for his sincere intention to make me happy. thanks for taking off from work to spend the entire day with me, thanks for allowing me to shop for furnishings with u, thanks for all the gifts, thanks for the surprise birthday dinner, thanks for that very surprising birthday cake, thanks for knowing that i love my friends too. do u know how good it feels seeing my boyfriend and my friends mixing around so well? well...its not a good feeling, its an AMAZING feeling!
Feeling so blessed,
-sel-
