WWF-Malaysia

Do you know that 26 hectares of forests are being cut down every 1 minute? That's equivalent to 37 football fields EVERY MINUTE...

Do you know that Orang Utan can only be found on Borneo island, and nowhere else in this world?

Do you know that in the whole world, there are only about 5000-7500 tigers left? In Malaysia itself, we only have about 500 tigers left...

So what if these animals extinct?

So what if I wear animal fur or eat turtle eggs or eat monkey's brain?

My life won't be affected if there are less tress less forest less animals

In fact, I'll be happier knowing there are less mosquitoes (due to less jungles) and less dangerous tigers and snakes coming into my housing area

Yep, bingo. You're right! Your life won't be affected

But your future grandchildren's lives will...

If there are no trees left, there won't be production of oxygen, there will be accumulation of carbon dioxide in the air, hence human can't breathe

If there are no trees left, there will be no roots to hold on to the earth, soil easily corrodes, hence very frequent landslide, very high death rate

If there are no trees left, there will be less natural food and habitat for animals, that even chickens and cows and fish cannot survive without their grass and corn and seaweed. Hence, human have only human to eat (since only human population is growing at an exponential rate when every other living organisms are gradually going extinct)

But, don't worry, it is not too late to stop this road to hell
