Jeng jeng jeng~
The title caught your attention mar?
I know the word FREE sure caught MY attention! *wriggle eyebrow mischievously*
As I mentioned in my earlier post, as most of y’all know, I’ve started work last week
And with the end of student life, I had more FREEdom to fly like a FREE girl!
So…
What better way to celebrate FREEdom if not an all expense-paid FREE trip to Genting?
Genting Group invited a bunch of young, happening, vibrant, energetic and crazy bloggers to experience what Genting has to offer to the young people, and they got the bloggers through Adverlets
I’m not under Adverlets, I don’t blog for commercial purposes, but I’m still invited becos I know people who do that!
Muahaha
Ok, no la. Josh Lim, founder of Adverlets, invited Darling to this event, then Darling invited me too lor! So last Thursday, after work, I met Darling in OneU, and we hopped on the bus off we go!
Hunny knows me best…he brought dark chocolate for me to munch all the way up!
KL is so hot lately, it is so exciting just thinking of enjoying the Genting temperature! When we first reached there, it was 7-ish in the evening, and the temperature was 18 degrees. Just a short while later, temperature dropped to 16 deg! Woo hoo~!!!
First thing we headed to find Josh to get our room key…
Obviously the room was very comfortable! >.<
Quickly drop luggage in the room, becos playtime officially starts!
First stop was…
Makan makan buffet dinner at Coffee Terrace!
Other bloggers who didn’t have to work or could take leave or could work whenever wherever *ahemDearahem* reached Genting in the afternoon, but people like me, who just started work for 4 days, could not afford to take leave T.T
We reached kinda late, so no chance to properly sapu sample all the variety of buffet dishes there…
I am actually used to taking 2hrs to enjoy a buffet dinner, but this time I did it in 20 mins…I gobbled down my salmon, can u believe it? Such injustice to those juicy, fresh, sweet tasting white meat who prefer eaters that know how to appreciate them for what they’re worth! *tsk tsk tsk*
See…even Dear agree that he wouldn’t wanna eat those sushi if he doesnt have time to chew them…
Honestly, the Coffee Terrace has good deco, very spacious interior, but not that many variety as compared to other hotels in KL. Or maybe the variety offered weren’t matching to my taste. After all, I skip all beef, mutton, lamb dishes becos I dislike the smell. So yeah, my choices were already limited to chicken and fish lol…
After that hasty dinner, the excited troop of 20+ bloggers were led by Genting staffs to…
The Pavilion!
We get to watch Dreamz ~
We had front row seats yo!
There was a clown to keep the crowd entertained before the show starts, during intermission, and part and parcel of the magic show. It was a good idea really, to prevent the crowd from feeling bored or restless.
There were singing and dancing in-between. I couldn’t understand what the lady was singing, i didn’t even know what language it was lol. I was very impressed with the dancers though. They looked like acrobatic dancers from China…small kid and teenagers who were so agile so flexible and so strong to lift each other, fling each other, and support body weights
The stars of the show were of cos:
And the tiger we’re more used to seeing
There was also magic show…like sawing body into halves, disappearing woman in cage, and sawing woman’s head
The most chee-kek (exciting) show of all was no doubt the motorcycles…
This is a metal ball…
A motorcyclist came out, and drove into the ball. He started riding round and round inside. Nothing special kan. Then, another bike went in, then another, and another, and another! That small little metal ball fitted 5 motorbikes, and they were all moving simultaneously inside! In fast speed!
They were riding horizontally u noe!!!! Then they criss-crossed each other, they rode up and down (i.e. vertical), OMG!!! Just when I thought that the most “geng” part was the entrance of the 5th driver, they proved me wrong!
The ball opened in half, and the 5 bikers continued riding! There were 3 riding horizontally on the top half, and 2 more riding horizontally on the bottom half. So freaky wei! I was just watching and i felt scared for them!
Wah…bravo BRAVO! good show!!! ENCORE pls!!!!
Lolz.
No no, don’t encore, don’t repeat, I can’t wait for the next activity!
Peekchars with ze white felines!
You know me, I have super soft spot for animals. My heart was wrenching inside when the trainers tug at the energetic lion cub. The cub was extremely playful, it was struggling a lot, so the trainer had to pull the cub a little harder to get it to move. Probably the cub feels no pain, but i still feel pain on its behalf. So, after picture session, there was Q&A with the trainer, Enrique Polo. I could finally voice out my biggest concern!
Mr Enrique Polo said that they do not physically punish the animals when they misbehave. He said that they feel no pain when beaten, so instead, they isolate these animals in cages, away from human contact, for a few days. Apparently, these animals had grew up with Mr. Enrique Polo and his family, so they actually have feelings like ordinary children! They feel hurt and lonely when rejected by their guardian, when denied of human attention! Isolation was the best method of punishment, better than physical punishment, bcos similar to human, emotional pain is always greater than physical pain
Group Picture!
Ok, I’m actually at work now, and I’ve spent an hour blogging this. Genting trip is not over people! But my free time is. Hehe. So, waiddup for Genting Part II!!!
I shall end with this pic…
