Harlow!!! i’m back with more pics on the Adverlets Genting trip!
After the fantastic Dreamz show, we were escorted like VIPs to watch Labour Day fireworks! We could walk through barricades that blocked out the public, we could stand right in front of the fireworks area that the crowd couldn’t enter. It was super windy as soon as we stepped out of the hotel; so so cold!!! See how Boon Ken is wrapping himself!
We camwhore like crazy while waiting for fireworks to start at midnight. At the same time, the crowd was looking at us like some intermission clowns >.<
Argh! So exciting it shows all over our faces! I wonder if Dear is posing or candid???
Damn posers man all these guys… =.=
After fireworks, we were so well taken care of, that each of us were given RM25 cash voucher to have hot drink and pastry for supper!
The Bakery was sooooOOO crowded with people after fireworks, but we had special treatment!
Oooh yeah babeh, a whole section reserved for bloggers!
This is how you make a glass of hot chocolate drink in Genting The Bakery. You get a glass of hot creamy fresh milk and several sticks of chocolate.
Put those sticks of choc into the hot milk and stir…
And stir somemore…
Better taste if stirred by a cutie…
And tasted by another cutie… ^^
After supper, it was 2am, but i still felt super energetic despite waking up at 6am and working the whole day. I wanted to go back to the room to bathe, then go back out to play indoor theme park. Aiyor the number of people and activities going on, night time is almost no difference from day time!
But once we got to the room…
After a refreshing shower (the last i showered was 6am), after changing into comfortable t-shirt and pants (been wearing formal clothes and heels since morning), i felt so SO comfortable…that i refused to go anywhere except to crawl under blanket and sleep. hehehe…
The next morning, Dear and I went to find our own breakfast. Had some not nice yet expensive dim sum (rm6 per basket) at the Market Place (i think that’s what it was called), then only Dear and I realized that we actually had buffet breakfast that comes together with our free room. OMG…i could have some delicious hot bread with sausage and omelette… T.T
Not only we had free breakfast, we had these too…
Genting Sky Venture ticket
Genting All Park ticket, unlimited ride
Snow World ticket
Flying Coaster ride
Those bloggers who reached earlier, they already finished Theme Park the previous day. So Dear and I wanted to go Sky Venture with Derek, David and all after breakfast.
That’s Yvonne, Derek and David in their costumes. So sad…Dear and I found them just 10 mins too late. They didn’t want to take us in already bcos those 3 already had their briefings, they’ll start their flying soon. Oh man…wasted yet another ticket! Worth RM50 per person you know!
We couldn’t wait for the next round because we had to rush off for lunch then take the bus back to KL ady.. T.T
So watching those 3 toss and turn and struggle in the air tunnel, we checked out of our rooms! You gotta know, it was really REALLY crowded in the hotel…
I thought it would take damn long to check out, but…
I just had to drop our room keys into that express check-out box! Check out done in one minute!!!
Yay, can get straight to lunch!
This is Joel…he’s Tim’s and Tamie’s son, and he’s super cute!!!
Even Yvonne and Derek wanna pretend parents with that cutie. Hehe!
Makan time! It was Genting Palace Restaurant, if i remembered correctly
Our starter
I like this dish best. The Genting staff said that they initially thought of serving shark’s fin soup to us, but they were aware that youngsters nowadays are very environmental-conscious, and into animal protection. So they served sweet corn and crab meat soup instead. It tastes so good in my mouth after knowing that Genting staffs are aware of the need of protecting animals and to slowly get rid of shark’s fin soup practice
Roast chicken…i like!
Steam fish, patin i think
Stew broccoli and mushroom
Fried rice with olive oil (this is a dish that requires acquire taste. After a few bites only i learnt to enjoy it)
Mango lolo dessert
The restaurant got very nice setting!
After lunch, we were escorted to the hotel front entrance, where our bus drives all the way up to pick us (instead of picking us from cable car station)
Go home lor…wasted all those free tickets lor… =(
But thank you Genting Group and Adverlets for inviting me for this trip. Although I had been to Genting several times already, this was definitely an eye opener. I wasn’t aware that the typical mentality of young people is that Genting is a place for old people only. I had always thought of Genting as a happening place, a Malaysian version of mini Las Vegas, a highland resort that never sleeps >.<
Ok, next up, I’ll post about this:
My first foodie blogger event!
For now, I wanna get some sleep! Tmr got long day oh! Full day work, then Adverlets premier of Angels and Demons at night! Nitez!!!
