Hiya people!
Exactly 2 weeks ago I finished my last paper of my last semester
Exactly 1 week ago, I started working already…in the complete opposite position than what I was not too long ago
I’m officially a lecturer in HELP’s Matriculation Centre, teaching Study Skills to Foundation in Arts/Science students
Yeah…
HELP again…
The same foundation that I went through from Jan til Dec 2005
I’m seated in the same staff room with lecturers who used to teach me 4 yrs ago
I attended training sessions with my ex PR and Public Speaking lecturers, who lectured me just few weeks back, who may not have finished marking my final papers even
I was asked to call my ex-bio lecturer “just Andrew” instead of “Mr Andrew”
Oh man…
So. freaking. weird.
But lecturing is really fun! I officially started teaching today; the new May 09 semester starts today, and students were seeing me for the first time. I was quite worried that students will disrespect me because they may think that I’m too young to teach them, that I do not have sufficient qualification or experience to teach, but in the end, i felt that they were quite open to share their experiences and feelings with me. Students started relating their previous high school days, international students shared their own country’s education system, etc. I don’t know to what extend I’m helping them learn by being casual with them, but I know that I feel good knowing that both students and myself can just be ourselves in the whole learning process
Now that I’m no longer a student, I guess I have more free time and more freedom. Parents no longer can say “Don’t go out too much cos it’ll affect your studies”, I no longer have to worry about revision and assignments. So, last Thurs, after work Dear and I just hopped on a bus and went to Genting to meet the Adverlets gang. Will post bout that trip soon when I get pics! *ahemdearahem*
Oh yes, last weekend I went to Penang with Dear, because we went to support…
We reached Leonard’s crib by 5.30am (yes wee early morning), and we set off, the rockers in a rented van, Sam, Evie, Dear and I in Sebastian car.
Sandra was so nice to allow us to live in her Gurney Park Apartment
Penang bah…land of makan! Especially Char Keoy Teow!
Wah I looked that greedy that Sam had to eye me that way???
The rockers had to go Queensbay Mall to do sound check, so the rest of Supporters can go shopping!!!
Actually its not shopping…we were just SAMPLING…
Lol damn gila trip lor, but I malas to download pics from Darling, so cont update next round bah!
Ok lor, Teeecherrr want to watch Korean drama sleep liao
