It was good!
Its a must watch!
For someone who is very bad in understand movies with complicated plots, I can COMPLETELY understand this movie, so yeah! Must watch it people!
Initially I wasn’t very excited about the movie. I watched Da Vinci Code (also Tom Hanks playing the Harvard symbologist solving Christianity-related mysteries), and I found that Tom Hanks wasn’t a good actor for this serious role. Probably cos im more used to seeing him playing funny goofy roles. But he really did a good job in this Angels and Demons movie!
EGo and I agreed that after watching this movie, instead of thinking of Rome’s architecture and carvings and paintings as signs of creativity and beauty, we actually sense the eerie, mysterious feeling about the dark, hidden meanings underlying every stroke every curve every line.
Actually makes you wonder if the secrets exposed in the movie about ancient buildings, paintings and statues are real or created, and actually stirs some interest in history (for people who usually loathe history are unable to appreciate history)
Thanks Ellie (aka MissyCheerio) for inviting me to Adverlets Special Screening! I got no pics to upload…huuu…gotta get from EGo cos Darling aka EVo wasn’t there. So weird that I attended a blogger’s event without Dear…I went alone after work…I drove home alone after movie… T.T But it was fun! At least I knew a lot of people through Dear in previous outings! And Darling had fun too…climbing up the tallest mountain in South East Asia. While we eat and slouch in our seats non-moving for 2hrs plus, he was climbing mountain for 2days nonstop @_@
So anyway,
Being a lecturer’s so far so good! Ok la, its been GREAT! ^^ I definitely didnt get the old feeling of “I wish I have more human interaction” or “I want to move around more, I hate sitting at my desk from 9 to 5” or “I feel like I’m not making significant contribution.” The education field is definitely nothing like the corporate world I had once been exposed to, where your colleagues and the management focus mainly on making money, and every extra effort made is compared to every extra penny earned. Money becomes such a big motivator that there doesn’t seem to be much feel of humanity or sincerity in kind deeds. It went to the point that i question the sincerity of my colleagues’ interaction with me, whether they have certain hidden agendas
In education field, people basically place gaining and spreading knowledge above making money, so sharing with each other is part of the learning process. I had been very well taken care of since my 1st day at work. My colleagues were very warm and friendly, and they’ve been patient and helpful towards this newbie >.<
Ooh~ I finally knows how it feels like to receive a small token of appreciation on Teacher’s Day! Previously as a student, I’ve always thought that little booths and stalls selling cards and gifts to be dedicated to teachers were plainly to make money out of the occasion. But today, I received a card and a paper flower from my HOD Mr Dhanesh (none from students…YET). Our Boss gave everyone a card and flower to thank us for doing a great job. I can feel that he is truly grateful, and it feels good to know that my effort is appreciated =)
Oh yes…again i ask this question…WHO WANTS TO GO TAMAN NEGARA? 5th to 7th June (Fri-Sun), estimated price RM390-RM450. Confirm ASAP! My leave has been approved!!! ^o^
