well well, how was my xmas this year? (sorry nat...XMAS really is much shorter than CHRISTMAS...) lets just say my christmas eve was a zillion times more happening than xmas day itself. as most of you can guess it, i celebrated xmas eve with Darling! and as most of you all can also guess, most of this post will be dedicated to complementing how sweet my darling had been. yes yes...be prepared because i will be gushing on and on about what a fantastic date i had on 24th december 2006... ^_^
i've spent the entire weekend with darling. on Sat, 23rd dec, he accompanied me to Bangsar Shopping Complex for World Vision's Gift of Hope campaign. i was supposed to help promote this alternative gift catalogue, asking people to buy a gift for children in poverty. Dear offered to volunteer along! so we both were improving our sales and persuasion skills from 9 til 3.30pm. and guess what? sales on that day was the highest in the entire month! woohoo!!!!! i wouldnt take ALL the credit, but i believe Dear and I contributed quite abit to that achievement! mwehhehe....it was really fun reaching out to unknown shoppers. but we can also conclude that fulthy rich people, especially filthy rich foreigners, are more stingy than middle class, local people. this conclusion is made by WVM staff after observing response from various malls, conducted over all the weekends of this month. i hypothesized that possibly because middle class people have been through hardship and can empathise with needy children more than wealthy people...
then on sunday, on christmas eve, i went to Suntex Market in Ulu Langat with granny and mom. this is the wet market mom brought me and brothers for weekly marketing last time, when we lived in Cheras Perdana. i was about 5 yrs old then. granny likes to buy clothes from this guy, Michael, cos his clothes somehow suits her best. so although we've moved twice since, we still go back to him every end of the year to buy granny's Chinese New Year clothes. yep, we've been his loyal customers bout 14years now. last time i used to choose some clothings from him too, but now that conditions have improved (or i've became more materialistic) i began to eye on branded clothes and lost interest in his China brand clothes. but every year i somehow still buy a few pieces from him. cant resist an extra variety i guess. hehe. ok, this time i bought about 4 tops from him. its a little to the la~la style, but i believe my personality can pull it off as fashionable and chic! ^o^
we rushed back from market cos mom's masseur coming to the house to give her full body massage. i was rushing back to dress up for an exciting date with hunny! also had some last minute touch up on this hand-made card i made for Dear's family. damn...rushing is no good. i ruined the card! argh!!! Dear picked me at 2.30pm, and we went to KLCC. keke...as soon as we parked the car, we couldnt resist the suspense. immediately open presents!!! dear gave me a xmas pillow with a blinking badge thingy, a pill box and a handmade card too! keke...needless to ask, the card was orange! ^o^ i made this huge card with jingle bells on it, and also gave him an electronic shaver. he mentioned before that his current shaver wasnt too effective, so i hoped an electronic one would give him a cleaner shave. and also more portable, so if you have no time to shave in the bathroom dear, u can do it in the car! =)
as soon as we got down from the car and walked towards the escalator, we were receiving alot of stares. why? cos we both were wearing santa hats! yep!! the entire night we wore santa hats...those with furry lining and a furry ball at the tip. we know there'll be stares, but dun care! we're gonna start the xmas spirit baby! we wanted to catch a movie, but the queue was SUPER DUPER LONG!!! the entire mall was packed! so crowded! i like being able to relax and soak in the atmosphere instead of being stressed up by crowds, like how it usually happens when im out with my family. they dislike crowds while i like them! dear helped me choose a wallet for dad. we also chilled out and sipped coffee. sigh...thats what cleebration should be. just spending a relax time with my love.
we bought this magic candle from ROOM! it looks like a normal tea candle in a glass cup, but u blow to on it, and blow again to off it. damn cool! dear bought one for each of us...thanks dear! its standing proudly next to my lava lamp now *beams proudly* at 7.30 we went to queue up for dinner in Chilis. we had to wait for 55mins!!! so walked around again...then came back...and told to wait another 20mins more. damn...it was that crowded! i really wonder how much profit all those shops made in that one day! so we finally got a seat...and tried their soups of the day: Chicken Mushroom and Brocolli & Cheese. both were damn good. for main course Dear had Mushroom Jack Fajitas, while i had Monterey Chicken. both dishes were yum-yum-YUMMY!
but damn...one look at the time spoilt our mood to savor our meal. dad said to be back by 10pm, and it was already 9.30 when we were halfway thru main course. i thought dad would appreciate if i SMS him to tell him i'll be half an hour late...but i've overestimated my dad again. such a spoiler to have to rush thru dinner, pay and rush to the car. worse luck to forgot where we parked! we walked half of basement 2 level and eventually found the car in basement 3. lol...this is not the first time Dear couldnt find his car in basement parking! *oops...was that supposed to be a secret? nyeh nyeh nyeh!*
this year i felt super generous. maybe its because i won rm200 Istean vouchers, or maybe i feel like sharing the joy of being loved, but i bought a present for granny, mom and dad. got granny a pair of earrings from Kenji which cost rm78. got mom an organizer which cost rm71. got dad a wallet set which cost rm69. got dear a shaver which cost...erm..forgot lu! wah! thank god i have vouchers! though i had to top up with cash, somehow i feel no pain at all. if money can make someone else happy, then why wanna stinge? but now im super broke. hehe happily broke! spent my last few bucks on January issue of Cleo just now ^_^
