such "amazing" new year countdown

ok, this is a little late, but HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008 EVERYONE!!! ^o^

since i had late dinner after my Hip Hop dance class, and since im waiting for my hunny to get home from Flam Bar, i decided to blog blog lor...

it was a very sad New Year countdown for me. on 31st December, i went shopping with family in KLCC in the afternoon, and was supposed to meet my girlfriends for dinner that night. but as i walked around Isetan, a very bright pink handbag this girl was carrying caught my attention. as my eyes stroll from the bag to the owner, immediately the girl smiled so wide and came over to me, saying "Sel!!!!" lolz...who else can it be but Deniece? we were supposed to meet later in the evening for dinner, but such coincidence to bump into her!!!

i was supposed to shop around til time for dinner, but mom wanted to leave KL before jam starts, and my dinner wasnt until 7pm. now that i bumped into Deniece, i happily followed her home to get ready! Soo Ann and Yee Hua came over to Den's house too, and we 4 girls took soooooOOOOO LONG to dress up that we were late for dinner *look away from Nat ashamedly and apologize meekly* Nat, as usual, was super punctual, so she was waiting for us princesses. good thing she had Alex, Dan and Shaun to accompany her.

so on New Year's Eve, i had dinner with my old school friends...Ai Ling, Yee Hua, Soo Ann, Deniece and Natalie...in Kristau, a Portugese restaurant in Heritage Row. the company and ambience is good, but please, if anyone wanna have dinner along that road, avoid trying this restaurant. ok at least avoid ordering the Fisherman's Platter. Yee Hua and I shared one dish, and we both couldnt, or rather, didnt finish it...

and then, when the time comes for the main highlight of the night, i had to leave. yep people, while my friends went clubbing and celebrating the New Year in The Loft, i took a train home. i carried a handphone which had gone flat (caused i chatted with Darling while shopping for almost half an hour) and waited for my mom to pick me at a super dark train station.

WHY SO SILLY!!!! u ask? sigh...sigh...SIGH!!! firstly, i had been away from home the past 3 nights, which was spent in Langkawi. so i definitely CANNOT spend another out, unless i love grumbling father, which i DON'T. secondly, my uncle and aunty had a splendour countdown celebration to attend, so they decided to grant my family the honor of babysitting their two children. it wouldnt worry me on ordinary days, since there was my parents and grandma to take care of 2 kids. BUT, just my luck that 31st Dec was NO ORDINARY day. grandma was sick, and the 2 kids were gonna sleep in MY ROOM. im so not gonna let them rummage thru my things, which they will DEFINITELY do. a sick grandma cant do much to control 2 hyperactive and hyperdestructive kids, so yes, i MUST go home to stop them!!!!!

i got home bout 11pm, and u know what i was doing when the clock striked 12am? i was tiptoeing around in MY OWN ROOM, trying to make as little sound as possible in my dim dim room, and listening to the snores of 2 kids and 1 grandma, and not able to wish Dear verbally in case i wake the kids up, who will end up waking the whole house up. tell me people, tell me, can my New Year celebration be anymore pathetic?

oh well, at least i had never placed much importance on New Year, so after a 15min of mourning, i fell asleep, and the next morning was just like any other ordinary days. oh wow, really, its 2008 already? when did 2008 arrive? >.<

well, at least my dinner's company were GREAT, and the girls look WOW-WOW-WiEEE~
